About Shiri

Shiri is a graduate of both the University of Vermont’s End-Of-Life Doula program and Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula program. Prior embarking on this new path, she spent fifteen years as an RN working in toxicology, psychiatric nursing, pediatrics, apheresis, and youth corrections. She holds a BSN from UMass Boston, a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and a BA in religion from George Washington University. In civilian life, she is an artist, writer, and book reviewer. She is also a human mom, cat mom, school bus, answering service, and calendar. In serving as an end-of-life doula, she sees all aspects of her own life coming together to assist those preparing for death to tell their stories and memorialize themselves the way they wish as an essential part of finding their good deaths.
